Any paper can make a satisfactory envie, I have used magazines, brown paper, wrapping paper as well as the craft papers that we always seem to have in our not so secret stash!
Before I cut out my marked template I like to score the fold lines with my embossing tool, using a ruler to make a straight line. If you don’t have an embossing tool you can use an old biro that has run out of ink or maybe the point of your scissors. I have shown a picture here which hopefully show you what I mean.
Then – cut out your envie, following the cutting lines that you have marked out. Fold on the fold lines, this way you will see where you will need to put your glue!!.
You can use glue or double sided tape etc to glue the edges down on your envie, a fine line of the glue on the edge works best for me! Put the glue down the edge of the flap that will be the outer flap (as picture) and stick down and then glue onto the bottom flap and stick up. There you are you have achieved an envie!!!

Suggestion for designing your own template. First draw around an atc so you have the correct dimensions. Then draw around the atc shape, this time adding a small border which will allow space within your envie. Then all you need to do is play around!! Drawing shapes and folding them up so that you can design your own special envie.
